THE STORY:
Symbols of Materials and Sources:
Frame – paint over gilding to emulate the end of the "Gold effect"
Background-Canvas – acrylic on linen
Foreground-Windblown Skirt Ruffles –paper towels from my studio paintbrush wipe rags, varnished all sides, hemmed spines for shape forming, ruffles sewn and glued to canvas….endless compositions!
Size: Overall w/ frame - 42h x 37w x 8d; Weight: (approx. 40 lbs)
*This whole process spanned 3.5 years until I felt the portrait had found its true VOICE!
